LANSING, Mich. — Today’s high temperature was set in the early morning hours, and the rest of our Thursday looks cool and mostly cloudy thanks to a cold front. Plan for temperatures to hover in the lower 50s for most of today. There is a small chance for a few scattered rain showers this afternoon and evening, but the majority of our day will be dry and spent under mostly cloudy skies.
Colder air will continue to build in as we go into the overnight hours. Skies clear tonight and low temperatures will drop into the lower 30s with mostly clear skies. Areas of frost can be expected by daybreak on Friday. Tomorrow looks like a chilly day, but we will see plenty of sunshine with highs in the lower 50s.
The weekend looks cool with highs in the low to mid 50s both Saturday and Sunday. A few showers are possible early Saturday morning, and then we should see the skies briefly clear out before another system heads our way for Saturday night. Rain showers are expected Saturday night and into the day Sunday.
We’ll dry out on Monday with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the lower 50s. More rain is expected to arrive on Tuesday and Wednesday. A general warming trend will start to take shape by the middle of next week.
