Cold with Snow Showers, Blowing Snow on Sunday

LANSING, Mich. — After a handful of inches of dense snowfall, rain and a quick touch of mild air helped melt and compact some snow. The roads have re-frozen with falling temperatures and strong winds; it will stay that way overnight with chilly air in place all of Sunday. Wind chills are in the single digits tonight with wind gusts close to 40mph.

A few snow showers and some blowing snow to go with the iced-over roads on Sunday, making travel difficult, especially early in the day. A stretch of dry weather will carry us through most of the workweek, with temperatures starting cold but gradually warming through week's end.

Our next chance for rain or snow appears to arrive late Thursday and into Friday, just in time for another weekend. Hopefully we're able to avoid impacts like those we've seen over the last couple Saturdays.
