LANSING, Mich. — A quiet start to the work week. Today begins with cloud cover before a little sunshine breaks through for the midday and afternoon hours. Plan for skies to become partly cloudy with highs in the mid 30s. Skies will remain partly cloudy tonight and temperatures will fall into the low to mid 20s. Tuesday will be similar to today with partly sunny skies and it will be a bit warmer with highs in the upper 30s.

Milder air will build in for the middle of the week with highs expected to be in the mid to upper 40s on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday will be partly sunny, and then skies become mostly sunny on Thursday.

Our next chance of precipitation will move in on Friday night. At this time, the daytime hours of Friday look dry with increasing cloud cover and highs in the upper 40s. Rain will build in during the evening and overnight, and then likely continue through the day Saturday. Saturday will be cloudy and rainy with highs in the upper 40s. As colder air moves in on Saturday night and Sunday, we’ll see rain change over to snow. Scattered snow showers are then expected to last through the day Sunday with highs in the mid 30s.
