LANSING, Mich. — The system that brought some snow to the area yesterday is pulling away from the region today. Overcast skies this morning with a few snow flurries mainly east of Jackson. We’ll see slowly decreasing cloud cover this afternoon, but it will remain cold thanks to a strong northwesterly flow. Plan for highs in the mid 30s and wind chills in the teens and low 20s through the day. Skies will become mostly clear overnight with lows dropping into the upper 20s. Wind chills will feel like the teens with winds sticking around through Wednesday morning.

High pressure and quiet weather conditions will build in for the middle of the week. Wednesday will be sunny and warmer with highs in the mid 40s. We’ll see a few more clouds around on Thursday and Friday, but high temperatures will remain in the low 40s.

Seasonable weather is expected for the upcoming weekend with highs in the lower 40s on Saturday and upper 30s on Sunday. Saturday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, and then clouds will increase on Sunday. Monday of next week looks quiet with clouds and temperatures in the mid to upper 30s.
