LANSING, Mich. — The forecast: We continue with a stretch of weather that has not been seen in years in the month of January. Conditions will be dry through at least the middle or late part of next week. This will also keep the trend of well-below normal snowfall going. Temperatures during this stretch will be just slightly above normal with no Arctic air in sight in the immediate future. The best chance of sunshine occurs tomorrow and Saturday. Once this dry trend does break, models have been advertising some much colder air and higher snow chances around the third week of January.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny in some spots. Highs in the middle 30s. Northeast winds at 5 to 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. Lows in the low/mid 20s. Northeast winds around 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy to partly sunny. Highs in the lower/middle 30s. Northeast/north wind at 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy to partly sunny. Highs in the lower/middle 30s.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy and dry. Highs in the lower/middle 30s.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy and still dry. Highs in the lower 30s.
