LANSING, Mich. — Today’s winds will not be nearly as gusty as yesterday, but we’re still looking at a breezy and chilly day. Westerly winds will be sustained between 10-20 mph, gusting to near 30 mph at times.

We’re starting off our work week with some cloud cover, but the clouds should thin out during the morning hours. Plan for skies to become mostly sunny by mid-day. We’ll enjoy a few hours of sunshine this afternoon, and then more clouds will arrive this evening with light snow showers possible as we go into the evening and overnight hours. Lows will drop to near 30 degrees tonight.

Tuesday through Friday looks fairly quiet with dry conditions and a nice warming trend. Temperatures will only be in the upper 30s for highs on Tuesday, but we warm into the mid to upper 50s for highs by Thursday and Friday.

Our next chance of rain will move in over the weekend. Scattered showers will be possible both Saturday and Sunday with high temperatures in the upper 40s to lower 50s. A cold front looks like it will drop through the area on Sunday, likely causing temperatures to drop during the day.
