Beautiful Weather on Friday

Heat, humidity both return this weekend

LANSING, Mich. — Mostly clear skies tonight will lead to a sunny day on Friday to wrap up our workweek. Patchy early morning fog in wooded areas will burn off quickly under the sunshine.

Clear conditions will last through the evening, giving another shot at viewing Comet NEOWISE as it makes its closest pass to Earth. It can be seen between 10:00pm and midnight in the northwest sky below the Big Dipper's handle.

NEOWISE will be best viewed with a telescope or binoculars, and won't return to our skies for almost 6,800 years. Chances to see it will be gone past this weekend.

Heat and humidity are back this weekend with highs near 90, and a stray storm chance is in the tail end of Sunday. Monday brings a slightly better chance for rain before a cooler, drier pattern arrives by the middle of next week.
