Beautiful Stretch of Weather Ahead with a Warm Start to the week and a Chilly Finish

LANSING, Mich. — Active in the Tropics right now w/ several systems moving westward through the Atlantic, currently Tropical Storm Sally poses the only real threat to the Lower 48 (for the time being) as it heads towards Louisiana.

Bringing it back to Mid-Michigan - it ended up being a beautiful day here apart for some stubborn cloud cover through the afternoon. Looks like we will clear out fully tonight as high pressure nudges closer to us and this will lead to a rather chilly start tomorrow with temps in the 40s. Could see some patchy fog develop as well.

Tomorrow features plentiful (Hazy) sunshine, but a northerly flow will keep temps below seasonable in the upper 60's. The haze will be a result of smoke making it all the way here from the CA wildfires. We stick with the "clear" skies Tuesday and Wednesday as well with temps creeping upward each day, getting into the upper 70's on Wednesday.

A cold front drops through Wednesday night bringing a chance for showers, and then even cooler air funnels in behind it setting up an unseasonably cool finish to the week despite lots of sun.
