LANSING, Mich. — Today’s high temperatures will return to near normal with highs expected to reach into the upper 50s this afternoon. We’ll continue to warm up each day through the end of the work week, and then a big cool down is on the way for the weekend.
We had showers and a few storms move through the area last night and early this morning, but the rest of today looks fairly quiet. Expect skies to become partly cloudy by midday with highs climbing into the upper 50s. Another round of rain will move in overnight and continue into Thursday.
Thursday will start off a little soggy with showers and possibly a few thunderstorms. The best chance of rain will be during the morning and midday hours, and then we’ll likely dry out late in the afternoon with temperatures warming into the mid 60s.
Friday will be our warmest day of the week with highs expected to climb to near 70 degrees. The warm-up will be brief, thanks to yet another cold front. The front will usher in another round of rain and a few thunderstorms, followed by colder temperatures for the weekend.
Saturday will be partly sunny with highs only reaching the upper 40s a nearly 25 degree difference from Friday’s high temperature. Scattered rain showers are possible on Sunday with highs in the upper 40s. A slight chance of rain will continue into Monday with highs returning to the 50s. Clearing skies expected Tuesday with chilly temperatures in the mid 40s.
