LANSING, Mich. — Much needed rain fell across the region today, many of us picking up over an inch of rainfall making those lawns out there quite happy! We have cleared out a bit this evening, but there are some thunderstorms to contend with, nothing severe however with the primary issue brief downpours and some occasional lightning. Partly to mostly cloudy to start the day out tomorrow morning, but another system will approach, cutting through the region by around noontime. Showers and thunderstorms will return, and then stick with us through much of the afternoon, before the low moves off and drier air begins to usher in. We keep mostly cloudy skies Monday night, and we could see a couple of showers on Tuesday as the backside of an upper level low slides east and away from Mid-Michigan. With high pressure at the surface building in out of Canada, Tuesday will be even cooler with highs around 70 degrees. Plenty of sunshine for the remainder of the week then, with warmer and more August-like temps returning by next weekend.
