LANSING, Mich. — Quite the active stretch of weather ahead but starting out tonight we will turn mostly clear with temps becoming quite chilly by tomorrow morning in the mid to upper 40s. We will see a strong cluster of storms approach tonight originating over Minnesota and Wisconsin, but by the time they get our way tomorrow morning they should be fizzling out, leaving us with just a chance for showers through the afternoon, and maybe a rumble of thunder. Winds will ramp up through the day as a cold front approaches from the west which will pass through Sunday night into Labor Day morning. Along the frontal passage, expect showers and a chance for some strong thunderstorms as well with gusty winds and maybe some small hail.

Labor day starts off with a slight chance for some lingering showers but then a mix of sun and clouds from the late morning onward.

Next week looks quite active with a chance for rain almost every day and temps bouncing from the 60s to mid 70s.
