LANSING, Mich. — High pressure will depart to the east tomorrow, and an advancing system looks to combine with the remnants of Tropical Storm Cristobal over the Great Lakes Region for Tuesday and Wednesday. Mostly clear skies stick with us tonight across Mid-Michigan setting up another beautiful day tomorrow, but as high pressure exits, warmer and muggier air begins to surge into the state.
Monday and Tuesday look like they will be quite hot and humid with temps in the mid 80s tomorrow and then closing in on 90 degrees for Tuesday. Clouds thicken up Tuesday and storms move in by the evening hours as the potent system arrives. Winds will pick up late Tuesday and then stay quite gusty through Wednesday. Scattered storms linger through Wednesday, which will likely bring some heavy downpours, but the steady and heavier rain looks to stay west of our region. Beyond Wednesday, we see temps fall below seasonable levels to finish out the workweek with plenty of sunshine heading into the next weekend.
