High school students are now planning for prom and one student in Wisconsin will have a celebrity date. 17-year old Ava Tarantino asked former Michigan State University Running Back Le'Veon Bell to prom.

The proposal came after the teen reached out to Bell on twitter. Ava says she is a big Le'Veon Bell fan. She says she has been his biggest fan since he was at MSU. She was thrilled when he got drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, which is another favorite team of hers.

Ava tweeted to Bell, "500 retweets and you go to prom with me". Bell tweeted back, “600 & it's a deal.” Well, Ava got more than 1400 retweets and now Bell is going to prom.

"I'm one of the biggest Le'Veon Bell fans said Ava Tarantino, I write on all of my papers Le'Veon Bell, it's everywhere. The story just proves the power of social media is crazy. There's so many positive things that can come out of it."

Its not clear yet if Ava's high school in Waukesha will allow Bell to attend prom. The district said technically that would be a violation of school policies. It says Ava's parents must fill out a form giving Bell permission to attend prom with Ava.

Bell is planning on going. He reportedly is taking his entire family to Waukesha with him including his girlfriend who has offered to do Ava's makeup. Prom is set for May 13.
