Winter wreath making and gardening classes

This winter the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station is hosting a variety of wreath and winter gardening classes hosted by Sherri Snyder from Gull Lake Landscaping.

A Bird Lover’s Wreath Class will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 8 to create a beautiful wreath using a variety of mixed evergreens, birdseed accent and a natural birdhouse gourd that can be displayed outside. Cost is $45, which includes materials, seasonal soup with bread and refreshments.

At 6 p.m. Dec. 14 join Snyder for the last class of the year to create a paper mache container filled with freshly cut local greens, bright stems, berries and other materials. Cost is $45, which includes materials, seasonal soup with bread and refreshments.

Classes are held at Spruce Lodge, located on the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary property at 12685 East C Ave. in Augusta. Space is limited for each class. Contact (269) 671-2160 or conference@kbs.msu.edu to register.
