Students earn 2017 Board of Trustees' Awards

Eleven students were recognized with the Board of Trustees’ Award for having the highest scholastic average at the close of their last semester in attendance at Michigan State University.

All students received a 4.0 GPA.

The following is a list of awardees.

Matthew Baas of Grand Rapids. Baas is a finance major in the Eli Broad College of Business and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School.

Eric Brunk of Shelby Township. Brunk is a packaging major in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Dwight D. Eisenhower High School.

Anna Doering of Midland. Doering is a music education major in the College of Music and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Herbert Henry Dow High School.

Steven Fromm of Mason. Fromm is a physics major in the College of Natural Science. He is a home schooling graduate.

McKayley Gourley of Grand Rapids. Gourley is a marketing major in the Eli Broad College of Business and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of East Grand Rapids High School.

Benjamin Hicks of Coldwater. Hicks is a finance major in the Eli Broad College of Business. He is a graduate of Coldwater High School.

Brittany Ladson of Macomb. Ladson is a human biology major in Lyman Briggs College and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Utica Academy for International Studies.

Alec Maddalena of Farmington Hills. Maddalena is a human biology major in Lyman Briggs College and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of North Farmington High School.

Guinevere Overly of Grand Rapids. Overly is an Arabic major in the College of Arts and Letters. She is a graduate of Forest Hills Northern High School.

Trey Pfeiffer of Otsego. Pfeiffer is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Otsego High School.

Lucas Wolfe of Mason. Wolfe is an electrical engineering major in the College of Engineering and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Mason High School.
