Startup teams in the Greenlight Business Model Competition will pitch ideas to a panel of judges on Wednesday at the Wharton Center’s Pasant Theatre for a chance at cash prizes totaling $100,000.
Twenty-two teams will pitch a wide range of ideas from improving athletic performance to making better beer. Event registration begins at 3:45p.m. and event pitches begin at 4:30p.m.
MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon will be speaking at 5:30 p.m. and Detroit Tigers’ mascot, PAWS, will attend 7–8 p.m. MSU Media & Information Center will also have a virtual reality booth on site.
The GreenLight Business Model Competition is hosted by Spartan Innovations, with Spotlight Sponsors, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and MSU Federal Credit Union.
