The face of Spartan Nation will headline Lansing's annual downtown holiday festival.
Sparty has been selected as the Honorary Grand Marshal for 'Silver Bells in the City.' Organizers say Sparty brings smiles to children and adults alike, and is 'fearless, lovable and recognized throughout the state of Michigan.'
Sparty's duties will include kicking off the Electric Light Festival, and taking part in the Electric Light Parade.
Following the parade, crowds will gather at the State Christmas Tree for a holiday sing-a-long and the lighting of the tree. After that, the skies will light up with a fireworks show over the Capitol dome.
The festival starts at 6 p.m Friday, November 17th at the corner of S. Washington Sq. and Lenawee.
