Michigan State opens the 2016-17 season against Arizona in the 2016 Armed Forces Classic in Hawaii. The Spartans played in the initial Armed Forces Classic in 2012 in Germany. This is the first game in what could arguably be called the toughest month to open a season in college basketball history given the quality of MSU’s opponents and the miles traveled.
