It's homecoming week at Michigan State University.

And in light of a recent threat made to MSU sporting events, police are ramping up security measures to keep everyone safe.

The East Lansing Police Department will have 18 extra officers working Friday when the homecoming parade begins.

And police tell us that they are treating the parade like they would a football game with extra security presence.

The department is stressing to the public, "see something, say something," in hopes of preventing any issues.
