MSU working to prevent sexual violence

Posted

Michigan State University is getting a lot of bad publicity lately between the football investigations and the Larry Nassar case.

University President Lou Anna K. Simon talked about some of the things the school is doing to send the message that sexual violence has no place in the MSU community.

She said MSU recently held a workshop for all youth program directors to focus on keeping minors safe. She also plans to roll out a new youth protection policy.

Watch the video player for comments she made while talking about the Nassar investigation.

A university Title IX report concluded that Nassar did sexually assault a gymnast who sought treatment for back pain. That's one of at least six Title IX investigations involving Nassar.
