MSU students selling tickets to big game

So Michigan State's football season has not been going so well. The team has lost its last five games, and up next is arguably its toughest rival - the University of Michigan.

"It should be pretty interesting seeing at U of M is now ranked number 2 and we are probably still unranked," MSU Sophomore Jill Gasche said.

"Hopefully a big upset for the UMich fans and hopefully a big turning point for our football season," Raji Singh, who graduated Michigan State in 2014, said.

Gasche was quick to point out that big upsets in the big rivalry have happened before. "Last year we came out of nowhere and won the game, so there's always a chance we could win," she said. Still - she sold her ticket, and she's not the only one giving up a spot in the student section.

"A lot of people are selling their tickets, a lot of people from Michigan are going to go to the game cause they want to see their team destroy us," Gasche said.

The game is sold out on Michigan State's website - but a quick look at a ticket resale site like StubHub shows that plenty of people are still selling tickets - some for as little as $12.

But one doctoral student says it's important to got to the game because, regardless of how either team is doing, the rivalry is strong.

"It's too big a game to miss," Jordan Tait said. "If we don't go, they win."
