You may have seen signs around campus for the annual MSU Plant Sale this Saturday, May 21, 2016, from 7a.m.–2p.m. hosted by the MSU Horticulture Demonstration Gardens.
Thousands of people with green thumbs will gather at the Plant and Soil Science Building located at 1066 Bogue Street to explore nature grown right at MSU.
Friday, May 20th, from 4-7 p.m., there will be a pre-sale open to members of the Horticulture Gardens. Guests who wish to become a member and attend the pre-sale will be able to sign up for a membership at the door and receive a 10% discount on their purchase.
On Saturday, the sale is open to the public.
For garden lovers, the sale will include perennials, house plants, succulents, hanging baskets, annuals, combination pots, vegetables, ornamental grasses, shrubs and more.
"Last year, basil sold out crazy fast," said Dan Bulkowski, manager of the MSU Horticulture Gardens and teaching green houses. "Last year, my guess of what we needed for basil was way off, so I made sure we had lots of basil."
