MSU Police and local emergency agencies to conduct training exercise on campus

The MSU Police Department will be participating in a hazardous material release training exercise on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.

The department will conduct the exercise in Spartan Stadium, as part of an training effort to help the department respond effectively in the case of an emergency.

MSU Police will be joined by other emergency and law enforcement agencies, including the 51st Civil Support Team of the National Guard, Michigan State Police, Ingham County Haz Mat Team, Ingham County Emergency Management, and East Lansing Fire Department.

There could be traffic delays due to the exercise from Kalamazoo Ave., Shaw Lane, and Harrison Road to Spartan Stadium between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The training exercise will take place at the stadium from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
