Michigan State University hosted its annual Spartan Spectacular at the Breslin Center.
The traditional celebration to start the new school year is known to be one of the biggest pep rallies in the Big Ten.
The MSU marching band performed and a there was a laser show to end the night.
The event was held indoors this year because of the threat of rain.
Tonight's line up included a cook-out, a pep rally with Coach Dantonio and the football team, as well as a few words from President Lou Anna K. Simon.
