MSU helping the developmentally disabled

Posted

Lots of colleges help students find internship, but Michigan State University is going above and beyond the typical program.

The new Spartans Project Search helps young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities find work.

Up to 80-percent of people with conditions like autism and down syndrome are unemployed and have to rely on caregivers after finishing high school.

Spartan Project Search helps them transition from school to work with internships in places like MSU offices, dorms and cafeterias.
