MSU and Alabama's cheerleaders took part in a world record-setting tailgate tradition in Dallas ahead of this week's Cotton Bowl.

They dropped bean bags from the Goodyear blimp onto the world's largest Cornhole board measuring 64-by-32 feet-- 16 times larger than your standard board--- as part of an attempt to get in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Though the game ended in a tie, the cheerleaders had a great time.

"It was awesome", said MSU cheerleader Jenifer Madden. "I mean, it ended up in a tie, so it's up to the players on who's going to win the game. But it was such an awesome experience, one I can check off the bucket list."

Even the mascots had a little fun during Monday's record attempt. Big Al the Elephant accidentally tossed his bean bag into the MSU cheerleaders, but no worries--- the girls were OK and Sparty was quick to come to their defense.
