Michigan State University football coach Mark Dantonio has decided not to renew the contract of staff member Curtis Blackwell, who has been suspended since February.

Blackwell's contract runs out on May 31. His contract originally ran out on March 31. It was renewed twice for a month at a time.

MSU confirmed his suspension with pay on February 14 but would not release any details on the matter.

The University will not say if he is the staff member suspended as part of a sexual assault investigation involving three players. Those players, whose names have not been released, are also suspended from the team.

The Ingham County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the case against the players and the staff member. Prosecutor Carol Siemon has not determined if charges will be filed.
