MSU's men's basketball team hits the road Friday in advance of the team's game at Little Caesers Arena in Detroit on Sat., Dec. 16 against Oakland. Tipoff for the game is slated for 2:30 p.m.
The 90-mile bus ride to Detroit will be one of the team's shortest road trips of the season, but it's also a chance for several Spartans to play in their hometown. It's also a chance to play against a team nearly every player knows well and in a brand-new arena.
"It's going to be crazy," sophomore guard Cassius Winston said of the chance to play in front of his hometown. "I'm trying to get as many tickets as I can so I can invite some people there. It's going to be fast, it's going to be full of energy, so it should be fun."
