The last-minute budget deal in Washington contains some very good news for Michigan State University. It includes $100 million in federal funding for construction at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams.
That money will keep the FRIB project running on schedule.
It's expected to create 400 jobs, and draw a billion dollars in investment to the area when it's finished in the year 2022.
