Early morning fire at MSU dorm hall, students evacuated

A small fire early this morning at a dorm on the campus of Michigan State University.

Hundreds of students were forced to evacuate Akers Hall East just after midnight after a small fire in the bathroom of a dorm room on the fourth floor.

East Lansing Firefighters quickly put out the small fire, telling us it is was mostly smoke. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Students were allowed back into their rooms. Nobody was hurt.
