Draymond Green arrested for assault in East Lansing

The East Lansing Police Department has released a statement on the arrest of Draymond Green:

"Early Sunday morning, Draymond Green was arrested for assault in our downtown business district. The victim was a male and there were no injuries. Green was subsequently taken to the East Lansing jail, posted $200 bond and was released Sunday morning. He has 10 days to appear in the 54-B district court to be formally charged. This case will be prosecuted by the East Lansing city attorney's office."

Former MSU Spartan and current Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green was arrested in East Lansing early Sunday morning.

The East Lansing court records indicate the arrest took place around 2:28 A.M. The record was filed on Monday, July 11, 2016.

The court document shows he was arrested for "Assault or Assault and Battery." He is scheduled to be arraigned in 54B District court later this month.

The Golden State Warriors released the following statement today:

"We are aware of news involving Draymond Green in Michigan over the weekend. At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation."
