The Spartans aren't having the season most fans had hoped for when thoughts of "Back-2-Back" were all the talk in the preseason.
MSU (2-3; 0-2) jump back into Big Ten play this weekend as Northwestern comes to town for homecoming.
Dantonio knows this is a 'give it to me now' reality we live in, but urges the faithful to stay just that.
"This is when we need you the most, there's a lot of passionate fans out there. This is when our players, they don't need boos, as difficult as that is, believe me, there were a couple of times I wanted to boo myself," Dantonio said.
