Michigan State University Human Resources is pleased to announce that the Agile Recruiting and Onboarding project will go-live April 26.

The ARO project is an initiative to strengthen hiring, recruiting and onboarding processes and systems. This change is necessary because the current hiring software will not be supported after 2017.

The ARO project will implement the new PageUp People applicant tracking software in place of PeopleAdmin, also known as MAP or COMPASS. Additionally, it will create a new job posting website called Careers @ MSU, with versions of the site for internal and external applicants.

Planned outcomes of the project include automating candidate evaluation and selection, addressing the time it takes to fill positions, delivering more robust system functionality, enhancing reporting measures and metrics, offering new onboarding tools and improving the overall applicant experience.

Through the month of March, MSU Human Resources will offer several outreach sessions. These include overview road show sessions for any MSU employee, as well as in-depth staffing coordinator training for those who manage job postings. These sessions will be offered either in-person or online via Zoom. Online learning modules and role-based user guides will also become available in early March. Road show dates, times and locations can be found on the ARO project website.

Questions about the ARO project can be directed to MSU Human Resources at (517) 353-4434 or SolutionsCenter@hr.msu.edu.
