On Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 10 a.m., the sixth annual IRONDOG 5K will take place at the Michigan State University Veterinary Medical Center. The run/walk begins at the College of Veterinary Medicine Small Animal Clinic located at 736 Wilson Road, East Lansing.

Created in 2011, the event promotes healthy lifestyles through exercise while raising money for animals whose owners cannot afford their medical care. Race registration fees, sponsorships and donations support the animals hospitalized at the Veterinary Medical Center, while helping to alleviate a portion of the cost.

Last year's event raised more than $10,000, which supplemented treatment for dozens of dogs and cats.

There’s still time to register at https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/EastLansing/IRONDOG5k.
