After makings its debut last year at the 2018 Freep Film Festival, "The Russian Five" documentary will begin playing in several Michigan movie theatres beginning next month.
The film announced the showings as well as a new trailer over the weekend. With several awards, including the Spirit of Michigan Award at the Freep Film Festival, the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Traverse City Film Festival and the WIFF 2018 People's Choice Awards, the documentary focuses on the rise of one of the Detroit Red Wings' most famous lines.
Tickets are already available for showings beginning March 22 at Phoenix Theatres in Laurel Park, Wayne State and Monroe. It's expected to show at Sperry's Moviehouse in Port Huron, Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, NCG inema in Battle Creek, Midland, Grand Blanc and Lansing and Celebration Cinema in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Muskegon and Portage.
For metro Detroit, it will show at Emagine Theatres with their locations in Royal Oak, Macomb, Birmingham, Saline, Hartland, Frankfort, Novi, Canton, Birch Run, Rochester Hills and White Bear.
