Urban Meyer won't be away from college football for very long.
The former Ohio State coach, who retired this month after leading the Buckeyes to a Rose Bowl win, is close to returning to TV. Meyer is nearing a deal with Fox Sports, according to the Sporting News .
It's not clear if he'll head to the booth, studio, or booth, but Fox is reportedly eyeing Meyer to become their top college football analyst.
Fox has been spending a lot of money to grab more college football games, acquiring most of the premier Big Ten games in recent seasons. It'd be pretty interesting to see Meyer talk extensively on TV about the rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan.
