The Detroit Pistons are teaming up with Henry Ford Health System for what they're calling a major partnership.
It could involve the basketball team making another move, this time for their headquarters and practice facility.
This past fall, the Pistons announced their big move from Auburn Hills back to Detroit.
They will be sharing the new Little Caesar's Arena space with the Red Wings, and that double game schedule leaves little time to fit in a third slot for basketball practice.
Crain's Detroit is reporting this morning the partnership between the Pistons and Henry Ford is expected to involve a practice facility, team headquarters and medical center with Henry Ford providing the medical services to the team.
Crain's reports the new combination facility is estimated to cost between $32 million to $55 million and could be upwards of 60,000 square feet, possibly located just north of the new Little Caesar's Arena.
This announcement is expected to happen at 3 p.m. at the Gilmour Center in New Center.
