Olympic Gold Medalist Claressa Shields headlining Showtime fight in Detroit

Two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Flint native Claressa Shields will be headlining her second professional fight in Detroit on Friday.

Shields, 21, will make her main event debut and will also become the first woman to headline a card on cable, according to Yahoo! Sports.

It's happening on Friday, March 10 at the MGM Grand Detroit Event Center and part of Showtime's ShoBox series.

She will face Szilvia Szabados (15-8-0) for the vacant NABC Female Middleweight Title and is scheduled for six rounds, according to BoxRec.com.

Shields took home Olympic gold in 2012 and 2016 for the United States.
