Zetterberg downplays ugly eye injury

Henrik Zetterberg took a skate to the eye last week during the Red Wings loss to the Jets.

He left the ice, got work done on it, and returned to finish the game.

Hockey players are tough, but taking one look at his right eye makes you understand how tough they really are.

"I'm doing good. It looks way worse than it is," Zetterberg said on Wednesday.

The Red Wings are back on the road for a four-game, west coast road trip. Wednesday was part of a brief trip home to break up time between another road trip and the upcoming slate.

"It looks way better than a couple days ago, so I'm happy," he said about his eye.
