The Detroit Red Wings have recalled forward Tyler Bertuzzi from Grand Rapids as the team deals with different injuries.

Detroit also placed Darren Helm on long-term injured reserve after he suffered a separated shoulder during Tuesday's loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Bertuzzi was called up to the team last week, but was reassigned to Grand Rapids on Tuesday and played in the Griffins' 6-3 win over the Texas Stars on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old forward has appeared in three games this season, averaging nearly 10 minutes of ice time per game.

Forward Thomas Vanek is also still on injured reserve, but he told Ansar Khan of MLive that he believes he'll be ready to play on Sunday. That's the earliest he is eligible to come off IR.

Vanek suffered a lower-body injury, and hasn't played with the team since the game against Carolina on Oct. 25. He was one of the team's better players on the ice, scoring four goals and adding four assists in just seven games.
