Ziggy Ansah has likely played his last game with the Lions.

First round talent and Pro Bowl production have been slowed by injuries, and now his season is likely over after leaving Sunday's win with a shoulder injury.

"He’s a great player. He’s a great pass rusher. He’s a phenom. He’s only getting better, even though I hope his season is not over with," Ricky Jean Francois said on Sunday.

"He was a guy that brought energy. He was a guy that brought what we needed on third down and in pass situations. I hope he gets back."

Matt Patricia offered no update on Ansah on Monday. The defensive end is playing under the franchise tag, for $17.1 million.

Ansah missed six games with a shoulder injury, and will likely miss three more.

"We know he’s a good pass rusher. We know his skillset. We know what he’s capable of. We just wish you could see a whole season and not just bits and pieces. Just with those bits and pieces, you still see a hell of a player," Ricky Jean Francois added.
