ALLEN PARK, Mich. — (WXYZ) -- New Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell described trade talks involving Matthew Stafford as "hot and heavy" in an interview with beat writer Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
"We’ve got quite a few offers and so it looks like we’ve got some trade partners," Campbell told Birkett. "We’re mindful of trying to give him what he wants as well, but he also knows that...we’re going to find the best value for the Detroit Lions and what’s best for us."
Reports began to surface Friday that the Lions may try to trade Stafford prior to Super Bowl LV. New England, Indianapolis, Carolina, Washington, and even the Los Angeles Rams have been mentioned by NFL writers and analysts as potential destinations for Stafford.
