Rod Wood has no time for participation trophies.
The Lions team president said Ford Field will no longer display banners for playoff appearances.
"They're gone. Didn't see any point in putting them back up," Wood said during a media tour of the stadium's $100 million renovations on Wednesday.
The Lions collectively made the decision to remove the playoff appearance banners, Wood said. Jim Caldwell and Bob Quinn were in on it.
"We took them down as part of the renovations. I'd rather celebrate the next division win and not put them back up," Wood added.
The team has only one playoff win since 1957.
Dig this: the Lions playoff appearance banners are gone.
