The Lions and Patriots will hit the field together for a joint workout before they play a preseason game at Ford Field in August.
Bill Belichick announced the news on Wednesday, and the Lions later confirmed it is a walk-through before the August 25 game. It will take place in Allen Park and will be closed to the public.
The Lions already have two joint practices scheduled in Indianapolis with the Colts.
Bob Quinn brought back to the Lions the idea of joint workouts last season, when the Lions practiced with the Steelers. It was the organization's first such practice since 2000.
