The Detroit Pistons plan to go after soon-to-be free agent big man Al Horford in free agency, according to a report from ESPN's Marc Stein.
Stein tweeted Wednesday morning that Detroit,Orlando and the Lakers are all in the mix for the Atlanta Hawks center.
Horford is a Michigan native, and is rumored to be open to returning to his home state. Horford averaged 15.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season for the Hawks.
The Pistons would need to move some other players in order to free up enough salary cap space to sign Horford to a max deal.
