DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Pistons and Knicks hadn't played in an NBA game since March 10th.
The layoff showed during both teams preseason opener, as they combined for 46 turnovers.
However the Knicks outlasted the Pistons in the 90-84 win.
Svi Mykhailiuk and rookie Saddiq Bey led Detroit with 14 points a piece.
Seventh overall pick Killian Hayes had five points and seven turnovers.
The Pistons and Knicks play again on Sunday.
