The Detroit Pistons have traded Joel Anthony and a protected first round pick to the Houston Rockets for Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton, Yahoo's The Vertical reports.
At seven foot tall, Motiejunas' obvious appeal is size. As a power forward for the Rockets, he averaged just over five points per game this season. Motiejunas has only played in 14 games for Houston this season because of injury.
Before joining the NBA in 2012, the Lithuanian-born Motiejunas played on professional teams in Italy and Poland.
Marcus Thornton is currently averaging 10 points per game with the Rockets this season. The 28-year-old small forward was drafted by the then New Orleans Hornets in 2009.
This year Joel Anthony has averaged just four minutes per game for the Pistons.
