DETROIT (WXYZ) -- Despite the recent trade rumors and speculation, Justin Verlander will stay put with the Tigers after all.
Reports throughout the day Monday indicated Verlander was unlikely to be traded, with Jon Morosi of MLB Network and FOX Sports eventually providing a more definitive answer.

However, Morosi adds that Verlander could still be put up past the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.

Verlander is currently signed through the 2019 season, and will make $28 million per year over that time. The Tigers have a $22 million vesting option for 2020.
