(WXYZ) -- Miguel Cabrera received a Silver Slugger Award from Major League Baseball on Thursday, the seventh of his career. Five of Cabrera's Silver Slugger Awards have come with the Tigers.
Cabrera finished the 2016 season with a .316 batting average with 38 home runs and 108 runs batted in.
Silver Slugger Awards honor the top hitter at each position, with separate awards for National League and American League players.
