Michigan's Hunter Dickinson named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

(WXYZ) -- Michigan center Hunter Dickinson was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Dickinson recorded his first career double-double in the Wolverines' 84-65 win over Ball State, with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

In Michigan's 80-58 win over Central Florida, Dickinson scored 14 points on six-of-six shooting from the field.

Dickinson is the first Michigan men's basketball player to earn Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors since Franz Wagner in March.
